Appreciative inquiry is a methodology founded by David Cooperider which is a process of renewal that identifies and focuses on the best of "what is" in order to activiely pursue the possibilities of "what could be". The process brings together all members of an organization or system and charges them with task called as 4D: Discovery, Dream, Design and Deploy (Destiny).
The summit was facilitated by the newly hired General Manager Mr. Rolando I. Mesias. The activity was started by an opening program graced by the welcome address of Magrow Chairman Arcadio Sabella followed by the levelling of expectations, team formation and lectures. Team activities started on the "three (3)" D's: Discovery, Dream and Design Sessions. Discovery session involved identification of organizational process and history of the cooperative; Dream session included the envisioning process; and the Design sessions that emphasized on the planning and prioritizing of the processes.
Mr. Mesias pointed out that the fourth 'D'- the Destiny (Deploy/Deliver)- will be worked out during the application and execution of the processes on the actual work operations that will involved each staff and officers.
"One step backward, TWO steps forward" said Chairman Sabella stressing out the importance of the organization's mission and vision.
